Effective
July 18, 2008, Georgia MLS is no longer offering
the "Take Photo" option.
Over
the past several years the number of photos provided
by Georgia MLS has declined dramatically.
Currently over 80% of all photos uploaded to Georgia
MLS are supplied by the listing broker/agent.
As a result, the "Take Photo" option
has been discontinued.
You
can upload digital photographs either through
RE/Xplorer 2 or through the SWIFT Dual Entry software.
If you have any questions, you can click
here for information and instructions on configuring
your computer to use RE/Xplorer 2 and uploading
photographs.
Should
you have difficulties, please email our support
staff at support@gamls.com
or contact us at 770-493-9000.
The
following most frequently asked questions will
help you understand the basic rules and regulations
regarding photos and how to manage them. Click
on a question below to read the answer:
What are the basic requirements for photos that are uploaded with RE/Xplorer 2? (Back to Top )
All photos must be saved as a JPEG (.jpeg) image file.
The primary photo must be an exterior shot of the home.
The main view of the house should be a single image, not a compilation of screen shots.
Do not include any decorative frames or text on the main photo.
In order to display correctly, all photos should be taken in landscape mode, not portrait mode.

What if the picture I'm uploading is too large? (Back to Top )
All photos must be between 40K and 6MB (6,000K)
in size. If you have a high resolution digital camera
(4.0 megapixel or higher), then be sure to set the
image resolution to medium. If you receive an error
message informing you that the image you have selected
is too large, then you must resize the photo. Georgia
MLS recommends a simple resizing program called,
"A Smaller Image."

Can I include contact information in the picture? (Back to Top)

under any circumstances. In addition, company "for sale" signs are not allowed to be displayed in photos.
If I submit my photos today, how quickly will they appear on third party websites? (Back to Top)
Photos are posted to third party vendors once per day.
Once posted, it is up to the individual vendors to update the information on their websites.
Typically, the turnaround is between 1-3 business days.
How many photos can I have for each listing? (Back to Top)
You can have up to 16 photos per listing in our service. However, the primary photo must be an exterior picture of the home.
How do I view the multiple photos in listings? (Back to Top)
Once added, listings with multiple photos are indicated with a small camera icon - . The multiple photos may be viewed by clicking the small camera icon or selecting the multi-photo report in RE/Xplorer.
How do I report photos that are possibly not in compliance with Georgia MLS? (Back to Top)
You can report photo compliance violations anonymously with Georgia MLS' Listing Issues. By reporting inaccurate information that you find to Georgia MLS, you help everyone who uses its service and relies on its data.
Click here to submit your concerns about possible photo compliance violations.
