Q:
Toolbar not functioning correctly
(ie: Buttons do not function. Saving please
wait… but never saves etc.)
A:
This is generally due to Adobe caching
the toolbar. The first resolution would
be to close out of the forms then double click
the Adobe icon on your desktop.
1.
Go to Edit at the top and then to Preferences.
2.
Click on the Search section to the left.
3.
Click on the button that says Purge Cache Contents
to clear the Adobe cache.
4.
Also you may want to uncheck Enable Fast Find
to prevent the issue from coming back.
If this does not resolve the issue.
1.
Go to the control panel and then to add/remove
programs.
2.
Uninstall any version of the Adobe reader you
have installed.
3.
Once this has been done go to www.adobe.com
and click on the button that says “Get Adobe
Reader” You
do not have to install any other Adobe add-ons
or Toolbars in addition to
the free Reader.
4.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install the
latest version of the reader.
Q:
Form and Toolbar load in separate windows
A:
This has happens occasionally after the Adobe
Reader does an auto update.
1.
Close out of the forms and then open Adobe icon
on your desktop.
2.
Go to Edit, Preferences
3.
Then to go the Internet section on the left.
4.
Uncheck Display PDF in browser and then click
ok. If you are asked to restart the computer
please do so.
5.
After this has been done go back to the same location
and recheck the option.
If this does not resolve the issue.
1.
go to the control panel and then to Add/Remove
programs.
2.
Uninstall any version of the Adobe reader you
have installed.
3.
Once this has been done go to www.adobe.com
and click on the button that says “Get Adobe
Reader”
4.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install the
latest version of the reader.
Q:
Red X instead of the list of forms.
A:
This is due to either not having Sun Java installed
in the system.
1.
To get the latest version of java go to www.java.com
2.
Click on the green button in the top left corner
that says free Java download.
3.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install Java.
To make sure Java is installed.
1.
Open Internet Explorer then go to Tools, Internet
Options and then to Advanced.
2.
Scroll down to the bottom of the list.
3.
Make sure that Java (Sun) is on the list above
Multimedia.
4.
Click the Programs tab at the top and click on
the Manage Add-ons button at the bottom.
5.
Look through the list for Sun Java Console and
make sure it is enabled.
6.
Close all open Internet Explorer windows.
Q:
Cannot see old forms
A:
By default TransactionDesk only shows forms modified
in the last 90 days. When you are on the
list of available forms you will see an option
that says “View other periods:” Change this
to All Forms and then click on go. You will
now be able to see all saved forms within the
system.
Any
other Issues,
Close
out of the forms and then open Adobe Reader(you
should have an icon on your desktop or in the
start menu). Go to Edit at the top and then
to Preferences. Click on the JavaScript
Category on the left and uncheck Enabled global
object security policy. Next click on the
Search category and click on the button that says
Purge Cache Contents and uncheck enable fast find
and then click OK.
